Happy Monday! Here’s another edition of #AusFIWeekly, bringing you great financial independence blog posts, podcasts, news and events from Australia and beyond.
I’m Michelle, a mid-30s Australian sharing my journey to FI at FrugalityandFreedom.com. I write about semi-retirement, frugal hacks, minimalism, sustainability, and budget travel (40 countries and counting!)
Last week, I’ve enjoyed a satisfyingly hearty dose of in-person conversation with FI enthusiasts! I hosted a meetup of Mustachians and FIRE fans in my current home of Auckland, soon after returning from a busy FinCon19 in Washington DC. While I love being part of active communities online – such as the FI Australia Reddit and Mustachians Australia – there’s something special about meeting other like-minded folk IRL to give a morale boost! Check out upcoming Australian events below… or why not start your own?

The Definition of Financial Success is Not So Obvious – Retire Before Dad (US)

Success is not mutually exclusive… Financial success is the same.”

I am loving these roundups so much! It’s always so fun to see the universal threads of money *and * how different someone’s approach can be. Thanks!
Penny, you’re so sweet! I also see you were likely reading this in the wee hours of the morning with the little one, if your Twitter updates are anything to go by. Hope you find some new content gems to get you through sleepless nights!
Thanks for the mention, Michelle! I’ve left this tab open as my lunch reading list this week. 🙂 Thanks for the roundup.
You’re welcome! I laughed when I read your post. I have to work on my default resting face! I know I’m doing a lot of scowling at my computer, being back in an office job temporarily. A good reminder to make sure I’m not putting others off or missing out on other money opportunities!
