Welcome to another #AusFIWeekly with handpicked Financial Independence links and events from Australia and abroad. I’m Michelle, a mid-30s semi-retiree sharing my FI journey at FrugalityandFreedom.com
Here we are at Edition 50! Nearly a full year of curating this link roundup, along with occasional guests from the Australian FI blogger community. The breadth of featured topics each week shows that financial independence is about far more than just money. In addition to tactics and strategies, we’ve looked at mindset, lifestyle design, personal growth, happiness, quests, minimalism, intentionality, relationships, society and ethics. Content has included blog posts, news articles, podcasts, videos, calculators, social media threads, and Facebook groups.
What would you like to read more of in future? I’d love to hear your suggestions for improvements or topics by email, Facebook or Instagram. Thanks for your support. — Michelle
PS. A new Australian FI-focussed share trading platform Pearler.com is open for beta users right now. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far from these guys, with FI resources and calculators on their site, plus $9.50 trades I’ll be using for my next ETF purchases. You can sign up for early access here. Note: As I like what their service stands for, I’ve signed up as an affiliate partner and will receive a small referral fee to support my blog’s costs if you choose to join via the links above.

You reached 50!
Well done.
And thanks for including me. 🙂
You’re welcome! Keep up the great writing.
Thanks for including me dude. Have a wicked week!
Pearler is honestly sounding better and better. Have you switched over by just doing a HIN transfer ? What was your experience ?
I still have most of my portfolio in my old (more expensive) stockbroker at the moment, but new trades I’ll be sending through Pearler. I believe the HIN transfer is pretty simple though and something I’ll likely do later, when I get organised. 🙂
