Happy Monday! Each week, your inbox will be filled with a dose of financial independence blog posts, podcasts, news and events from Australia and beyond. (Check out previous editions here).
I’m Michelle, a mid-30s Australian on the path to financial independence. I blog about my journey at FrugalityandFreedom.com, with themes of budget travel, mini-retirements, frugal hacks, minimalism, sustainability, and alternative careers.
Hello from Auckland! This week, I’m housesitting with a sweet (and very vocal) cat in exchange for free accommodation. I started using TrustedHousesitters on my recent mini-retirement year in the USA. It is a new budget hack of mine, helping me travel on US$55 a day (US$20,000 a year). I’m continuing to use TrustedHousesitters while in NZ, filling my profile with positive reviews to get great assignments on future trips.
New on the FAF blog: With the popularity of curated link roundups in the financial independence community, here’s a list to help you discover your new favourites.

This is a good list to wake up to!
I like that you’ve got events, too.
Glad you like it! Yes, I’m keen to get more events on there. Let me know if you hear anything FI-related around the country.
